Challenge

A 15-year-old girl came to physical therapy with incontinence and enuresis. She was also struggling with confidence and finding it difficult to speak up for herself. She needed individualized care for her continence concerns while receiving separate support from a psychologist.

Continence and a Stronger Voice

Dr. Tiffani Bacon, PT, provided one-on-one physical therapy using biofeedback and an individualized home exercise program. The teen also received care from her psychologist. By the end of care, her enuresis had resolved, and she had developed greater confidence, agency, and self-advocacy. Her progress unfolded with support from both professionals; it should not be attributed to biofeedback alone.

“She came to physical therapy for enuresis. Seeing it resolve mattered deeply. But what stays with me is the confidence she gained in speaking up for herself. I supported her through individualized physical therapy while her psychologist provided separate care. The voice she found was hers all along.”

About your Customer

This anonymized story follows a teen Dr. Tiffani S. Bacon, PT, treated in her in-person physical therapy practice. The teen also received care from a psychologist. Her experience reflects a belief behind The Bladder Breakthrough™: bladder concerns deserve practical, shame-free support, and young people deserve a voice in their care.

Today’s Bladder Breakthrough™ is a separate, six-week parent-led coaching program for children ages 4–12. The teen and mother pictured are AI-generated illustrations, not the patient or her family.

The Challenge

At 15, she was living with incontinence and enuresis while struggling with confidence and speaking up for herself. Her care needed to address the physical symptoms in a way tailored to her, while respecting her dignity and the separate psychological support she was receiving.

The Solution

At 15, she was living with incontinence and enuresis while struggling with confidence and speaking up for herself. Her care needed to address the physical symptoms in a way tailored to her, while respecting her dignity and the separate psychological support she was receiving.

The Results

By the end of care, her enuresis had resolved. She had also grown more confident, developed a stronger sense of agency, and become better able to advocate for herself. That progress unfolded while she received both physical therapy and psychological care; her emotional growth cannot be credited to biofeedback alone.

These are one teen’s individual outcomes from in-person care, not results promised by The Bladder Breakthrough™ program.
